I'm talking about this {censored}:

This is 1/3rd of the size of a minitower desktop. But it still has a nice package. Cardreader, Lightscribe DVD burner, Wireless, Firewire, digital coax audio, 7.1 analog audio, nice design, etc.

Specs:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4300

Intel® 945G express chipset

1 GB DDR2-533

250 GB S-ATA

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 video

Intel® High Definition Audio 7.1

So this looks like a Mac Mini but better upgrade options (3,5" drive, normall size DIMM's, better processor,...). Would this give any problems with 10.4.9 ?

I've got more info on the inside, I also took a look inside.

Motherboard: ASUS IPILP-AR

FSB: 667/533

Chipset: Intel 945G

Form Factor: Micro-ATX

Memory: two 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets, supporting 533 and 667 MHz and up to 1GB per slot

Expansion Ports: one PCI, one PCI-Express 16x (PEG)

VGA onboard: Intel GMA950

S-ATA: two S-ATA 300 ports (ICH7DH)

Audio: ALC888 chipset

LAN: Realtek RTL8100

USB: 8 ports (2.0)

Firewire: Agere LFW3226-100, 1 port

I can get the above config (also see start post) for about 700 euro, including Vista Home Premium, wireless keyboard and mouse.

Now the key is to find a good (and supported) Low-Profile PCI-Express card !!

Hi Phuncz,

I'm thinking about buying an S3020, but the "third world" version (Latin America) doesn't include Wireless networking (there's a modem instead)( :thumbsdown_anim::blink: )

Do you know what kind of wireless card comes with the european version?
