Note that if you leave your BIOS in legacy mode there is a good chance other USB devices will not work correctly. B)

I set up the WinXP boot menu to select OSX as the default OS so when I want to use USB devices under OSX I turn off legacy mode in the BIOS and then let the boot menu time out. :)

Does anyone know of a boot manager program that can use USB devices (mouse or keyboard) to select an OS to boot so I can just leave legacy mode off?

Not necessarily, if you have PS2 devices they conflict, but I did set up once to have only USB KB and Mouse and I can use other devices as well.

This depends on the patch you applied. With 8f1111ppf.rar, USB works. With SSE2.1111Patches_ppf_patcher.zip, in my case, USB support was broken. I agrre with macgirl, you have to have both USB mouse/kb or both PS2 mouse/kb. If you mix them, one or the other wont work. Although I don't think this applies to lappies and notebooks.

I have no PS2 devices and am using 10.4.3 8F1099 with all Maxxuss' patches, using the SSE2/NONX kernel.

If I leave Legacy mode enabled in the BIOS only my mouse and keyboard will work, all other USB devides are ignored and won't even show up with USB Probe.

If I disable Legacy mode then all my USB devices will work correctly and USB Probe will show all available USB ports, my Epson printer will work and even the integrated card reader in the printer will work.
