par4noia
Hello everyone! I just downloaded xcode 2.4.1 and have selected (only) gcc-4.0 to install...The install goes alright, but after that, when I try to use gcc, it says "gcc command not found"...What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
sarahbau
Try typing "which gcc". If it doesn't find it, try reinstalling, this time selecting gcc 4.0 and gcc 3.3.
par4noia
Well, it doesn't find it....But if I do "which gcc-4.0" it does...The problem is, even if I compile with gcc-4.0 command...it can't find stdlib.h and others... I'm using 10.4.6 by the way...
sarahbau
Did you try installing both 4 and 3.3? I believe the install scripts and libraries are all in 3.3 (for some reason). I believe I ran into that problem a couple years ago, and had to install both in order to use it.
par4noia
I installed both, but only after installing 4.0 on his own..I can I remove them? In order to install first 3.3 and then 4.0?
par4noia
*bump* Hasn't anyone successfully installed GCC?
Headrush69
I can I remove them? In order to install first 3.3 and then 4.0? Just pick both from the installer. (Don't worry about previous installs) The scripts in the installer should setup the links as needed and it should default to using version 4.
