MACenthused07 Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 I have OS X 10.4.8 JaS... and i installed Final Cut 5.1 and when i open it, it will show the splash screen and then aske me for a firewire device... but then it will not load. Final Cut Express 3.5 (based on FCP 5 I believe) works fine for me. After upgrading to 10.4.8 and then 10.4.9, FCP 5.1 opens and shows the splash screen and then just quits without any error messages or anything. I even tried to uninstall it with AppZapper and reinstall, it showed the firewire screen on first run then quit. My hardware info is in my sig. zarac Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 not sure, but i think you should use older version of prokit.framework. it helped me on my jas 10.4.8 install i switched to tubgirl install and i don't have problems with that anymore. mobyte Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 when you launch fcp, it ask for your firewire device camera...it's normal. if you connect the cam and is not reconize, try power on-off your cam. I've try setting in the playback control...but it still pops up after playing for about 5 secs. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks.
