mam693
I have a Dell Latitude D800 with a NVidia Geforce 4200 GO and quartz extreme works but the picture would only come up on an external monitor. I then read about this paper clip\wire trick and wanted to try it but I cannot seem to figure out how to. If anyone can tell me if this method even works with my card or more detailed instructions on how to, i would greatly appreciate it. I also came across a dummy connector, if someone has instructions on how to make that as well, it would be great! Thanks Matt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50276-one-wirepaper-clip-trick/ Share on other sites

Neonkoala
Twist the wires together on the end on any wire, speaker wire for instance and use that, even better if you can find the wire from say an RJ45 cable which has a solid copper wire inside use that. Or if you have a broken monitor kicking about grab the pins out of that VGA plug. Be resourceful.
