Very new to this guys, hope will not get slaughtered for asking this question.

Honestly could not find an answer on this forum (really tried the search)

Dell Inspiron 5160 with Truemobile based on BCM4306KFB chip

Is there any way to get the wireless working?

Thanks

Thanks for this.

Just wonder what mini-PCI cards (not express) also work OK?

I believe ones based on BMC4311 chipset, but it is difficult to find a card based on chipset, as they usually are completly different manufacturers

Anybody have the exact model(s)?

Thanks

Dell Truemobile BCM4306KFB is Airport compatible card with broadcom chip

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=44114&hl=

<string>pci14e4,4306</string> is for your card

I have a different truemobile but this did work for me and my latitude d600. goodluck getting it to work

Managed to get it to recognize BCM4306KFB as Airport

Made the change <string>pci14e4,4320</string>

as it seems thet the chip is BCM4306KFB, but the actual string for Truemobile 1350 in Windoze is 4320

Works a dream using Jas 10.4.8 on Inspiron 5160

Thanks guys for your help
