sh0td0wn
I booted in Mac OS X in VMware and saw the installation screen. Formatted the partition using Mac OS Extended Journaled. But the drive didn't show still. I rebooted the VM. When I read again, I forgot the Independent -> Persistent thing and rebooted the VM. I get an error. System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found. using JaS Mac OS X 10.4.8 Specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Asus A8M2N MB + nVidia GeForce 6150 LE (Integrated) 2GB DDR2 PC4200 533mhz 250GB Samsung SP2504C SATA II 300 7200rpm LITE-ON DVD-RW (dunno if SATA or not) Booted using command -s.. It said that the drive i'm installing to is mounted read-only. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50047-vmware-mac-problems/ Share on other sites

jusasweet69
I had the same Error-Message (but with Mac OS X Version 10.4.6) and have found a solution following this tutorial step by step: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...Virtual_Machine I used this solution and allocated all the space out in the beginging. And used a live linux distro 'GParted' and created a mac file at the begining of the partition and was able to boot and im currently in the install process.
