Its the first time i installed it...what i used was JaS 10.4.8 SSE2 SSE3 with PPF1 aplied,

The only problems ive had so far were:

Keyboard not working the first time (restarted and it worked);

Cant get higher than 1024x768 (will search the forums);

Keyboard layout not correct.

Im triple booting with Windows XP, OSX, Vista..

The booting part is kinda confusing atm because i use acronis to select OSX but then it shows me darwin which also shows the 3 OSes, i think ill remove acronis (any advice?)

Sound is ok, networking is ok..omg it can even see the other NTFS partitions (i thought mac couldnt?!)

I was expecting to have problems with drivers and stuff..

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (SSE2 only)

Abit AN8 Fatal1ty (nForce 4)

nVidia 6800GT PCI-e

Sound is onboard

Well done. The installer disks are getting really good aren't they.

I was expecting to have problems with drivers and stuff..

Looks like you need to get drivers for your video card. You want to get resolution changing working as well as core image (ci) and quartz extreme (qe). You can tell if they are working by opening System Profiler and looking in the Graphics/Displays section. For example mine looks like this:

Radeon X1600Pro:

Chipset Model: Radeon X1600Pro

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x71c2

Revision ID: 0x0000

Displays:

TFV6708SKHKW:

Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Supported

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported

Rotation: Supported

Display:

Status: No display connected

Since you are using 10.4.8 (rather than .9) you can probably try using this installer to set up your nvidia graphics card drivers:

http://www.installers.dl.am/

Just make sure you are using an 8.8.1 kernel first. "uname -r" in the terminal should show you your kernel version. That site has a link to a thread with more details.

OS X can read NTFS, but it can't not write to it.

Windows can not read or write to Mac Journaled

OS X and Windows can read and write to FAT32

My setup...1 hard drive, 3 partitions

1. Mac Journaled - OSX

2. NTFS - Win XP

3. FAT32 - Storage for both win and OS X (mostly music and documents)

OS X can read and write NTFS with the fuse port. Windows can read and write HSF+ with MacDrive.
