Schiff
I downloaded the Quartz Extreme checker app and QE is not enabled. I do not know how to check if CI is enabled. I have an AT Radeon 9700 128 so both should run but I do not know how to enable either. Any help would be appreciated.
tjarven
You can check this kind of stuff under About this Mac in menu bar. Think you have to install graphic driver to.
Zizou
dude, seriously, use the bloody search function. There are a million how-to's written on this forum how to enable Qe/Ci. Thank you for wasting 1 minute of my time.
Schiff
Thats great. I spent the last two days reading posts with people who say things like. Oh, duh, it works now. Then no one says how. If you have a thread you can refer me to that would be nice.

Zizou
If I'm not mistaken, installing Titan / Natit should fix your problem then. Titan / Natit are 2 kexts with both do the same pretty much, they enable Qe/Ci. Remember you only need one, don't install both titan and Natit. some versions work for some cards and some don't, it's trial and error to figure out which one works the best for you. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Natit Natit has been further developed beyond Titan to allow ATi GPUs, dual displays, and other features to work. I did a quick forum search, and I think Natit/titan is your solution. but I'm not sure as I'm a Nvdia user.
Schiff
Thanks for the info. The install disk I used came with the titan drivers, but unfortunately they didnt work. The callsito drivers work but no qe/ci. I will try the Natit drivers tonight.

errandwolfe
If you have already installed Callisto, make sure you uninstall it (remove the kexts) before you attempt to install Titan or Natit.
grifter
Have you checked to see if your video card's device ID is present in ATI9700.kext? If it isn't try modifying the .kext and adding your device ID to see if QE/CI will work. Just do the usual steps and check through system profiler. I got QE/CI to work with my Radeon 9550 that way.
