  1. A new hero!

So I kind of came on this part of the apple site: http://www.apple.com/science/profiles/briancox/?sr=hotnews Now, the for the banner, next to it being a kind of stupid pose I right clicked it and saw the name of the image, which made me laugh even more xD Why in hell call this pic: hero1.jpg xD
  2. R.I.P Prawker

Spoke to you a couple of times on IRC, I loved your prank call and I you did good things for this community.. I'm sorry that you had to leave... Rest in peace buddy, I really hope there's some sort of afterlife, 17 years is just not long long enough.
  3. 1066 Mhz Ram Speed

Set a bootflag where you define the FSB speed? That used to do the trick in the old days.
  4. Resize MAC OS Leopard Partition

If you are using a GUID partition table instead of mbr, you can by using the diskutil command resizeVolume from the terminal, if you're using mbr, you might want to check out a linux live cd and use gparted.. If I recall correctly, it can resize ntfs, fat, and maybe hfs+, not sure!
  5. My NTFS files are gone, help please.

I'd say google for a recovery tool, but I doubt there are any Mac NTFS recovery tools, because OS X doesn't even have proper read/write support for NTFS built in. You lost your files, there's almost no chance of getting them back I'm afraid. But, it's kinda your fault, every topic or guide related to OS X x86 says backup your stuff
  6. My NTFS files are gone, help please.

Do you even read the prompts? You format the drive when you partition it. (it even says something among the lines of "by clicking proceed al data on disc will be lost, are you sure to continue") You lost ur filez, try a recovery tool.
  7. I have a MBP myself and this is my opinion about it: The Mbp gets hot, no doubt about it (mostly battery) but it's not seriously hot. I don't mind it being hot, I don't use it on my lap either and I have no problems working on it. When putting it on my lap it's still very doable heat-wise.. It won't get very hot as-long as you don't do computer-intensive tasks like playing a game. (in Vista it does tend to get VERY hot while gaming, but the laptop itself can manage, at least, I've gamed on it several times for a couple of hours straight and it's still working without any noticeable damage) Regarding buying that laptop, it's the most awesome machine I've ever owned (ok it's the second I've ever owned.. only 16 years old here) But I haven't regret working my entire holiday for it just so I could buy it!)
  8. Did you repair permissions of the kexts you moved in place? chmod -755 /system/library/extensions/*.* and chown root:wheel /system/library/extensions/*.*
  9. Leopard countdown widget

I'll keep it there, and hope no-one besides me sees it
  10. Did Anyone actually notice..

It's kinda sad; http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...te/default.mspx (for those can't be arsed to open the link, the first thing that's called is "Windows Hold’em, a poker game for players of all skill levels" That, while the other extras include: "Secure Online Key Backup, where Ultimate users can store their BitLocker recovery password and Encrypting File System certificate on Windows Marketplace’s Digital Locker website for access to the key anytime, anyplace, and from any computer that has an Internet connection" "BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool, an automated tool which removes the complexity of setting up your PC to use this exclusive data security feature." :censored2:
  11. Ok, let me try to clear a few things. YOU CAN GAME WITH THE GMA950 on the Macbook (I have tried with the lowest Core Duo 1.83 Ghz /w 2gb ram). But don't expect too much of it. For example, I can play counter Strike source on high settings, aslong as the map is small (and doesn't have high detailed textures) Because once you try a map like cs_office, you'll get lag even without high settings. (and a 640 x 480 res lol) If you want to game on a laptop, get a Dell with a dedicated GPU for like 1500, and if you love Mac so much get that Macbook Pro, its awesome for portable gaming really. (Although I only play Counterstrike Source / Half Life 2:DM and BF2)
  12. Not Radeon.efi - the other one...

UGA driver? If you can tell me how to get it off my mbp I can help I've been trying to dump the rom too, but without success, not through windows and OS X.. :/
  13. weirdest thing

It means you have no bootloader, either set your OS X partition active (through fdisk in terminal from your OS X install DVD) OR apply the chain-0 method, which is described in the Guru Bar if I'm not mistaken. Good luck.
  14. just use pacifist to install it and you have it completely free!
  15. What is the Best Graphics Card

    Don't forget teh 512mb barrier -.-
