Hi everyone,

I've just noticed that the System Profiler claims that my NVIDIA Geforce MX400 uses the PCI-bus. This is obviously incorrect. I think this is why I can't force a higher resolution than 800x600. Is there a way to fix this? (It should say AGP) The card supports VESA 3.0 (as seen during boot).

Thanks in advance.

same here!!

I've experimented with a noname GeForce MX400 :

- the card is indeed recognized by System Profiler as PCI, but also other AGP cards are recognized as such

- I was only able to see something using 1024x768x32

- The card is supposedly VESA 3.0, but the refresh selection (@75, @85 @#!*?!! ) doesn't work, Darwin resets at boot - interestingly enough, XP doesn't allow to change the refresh rate when using the card in VESA mode, without a specific driver

- higher modes, like 1280x1024x16 or 1600x1200x16 do boot, but I get a MONOCHROME screen !

Maybe a BIOS update would help.. Does anybody know where to get Nvidia BIOS updates ?
