Hi,

Thanks to the forum, I am able to boot up in OSX10.4.6.

One of the features I really want to use is iPhoto. It is not available in the applications.

Searched forum no posts. Downoad iPhoto from Aple, started with ver 2., installed, but will not open up, just see the icon. Tried all updates, tells me no valid iPhoto.

Any help apprecitated.

If you're just interested in iPhoto then you can get iPhoto from a few :pirate2: places. iPhoto only normally requires to do a few things before it works. Instructions are normally provided but they were written poorly. So I made my own when I figured out how to install it.

- Show package contents for iLife 06.mpkg

- Go to Contents/Installers

- Show package contents for iPhoto.mpkg

- Go to iPhoto.mpkg's Contents/Installers folder.

- Two installers are there, iPhoto.pkg and iPhotoContent.pkg

- - Show package contents for iPhoto.pkg

- Go to Contents/Resources

- Delete InstallationCheck

- - Show package contents for iPhotoContent.pkg

- Go to Contents/Resources

- Delete InstallationCheck

- Run iPhoto.pkg installer and install it. Once it's done run the iPhotoContent.pkg installer and install it too. No need to move/copy the files to another folder.

Alternatively you could get the whole iLife. But that something like a single 6GB file. iPhoto on the other hand is a little <400MB.
