GBK.Xscape Posted April 8, 2007 Share Posted April 8, 2007 ok so watch you wanna do first is hookup the drive through firewire, assuming you are on a hackintosh you will have to get something like acronis os selector to control all your different installs. then once that is all finished you should be able to pick what installation you want. it does not boot to the external install becuase you have not told it to or set it up that way, with the os selector you can always choose what install to boot from when you start up. jonokti Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 You want your OS on your main Internal drive along with FCP. Then you want a secondary drive int or ext for the captured files. Your choice where to keep the work files some like to keep everything in one folder. I have a folder on my main drive for my work files; graphics, audio, photos and the secondary driver for only captured video. This is also Apple's recommendation how to set up FCP.
