stupid customers complaining about nothing, there pc can run vista. its their fault they didnt dig deeper to find that theres another level to vista and they needed a "premium ready" pc to run the advanced features. as much as i hate ms, i think its the users fault that they chose to ignore ms's website and didnt use the windows vista upgrade advisor

As much as I hate to say it, this is not at all Microsoft's fault. There were clearly two different labels designated:

  • Windows Vista Capable - which means its vista capable...and even the basic version is still called Windows Vista...therfore it might be able to handle just that..there were no promises here of being able to run Aero Glass. It clearly defines just being able to Run Vista, regardless of the version.
  • Windows Vista Premium Ready - This seal indicates that the hardware is ready to run Aero Glass. It is this you should be looking for if you want all the fancy effects...not the one before. The Aero Glass and other features start at Premium and are avaliable in other versions above...but not below. This seal again clearly indicates that it runs on mid-high end hardware.

Some illeterate individual who knows jack about operating systms, should first consult a sales rep from a computer store or something before making the purchase of the computer. This is just a stupid lawsuit that arose because for one...Microsoft has deep pocksets, therfore they could settle this for some nice $$, and two, just to create Vista buzz even more than what is around now. This one was totally unnecessary IMO.
