guiyoforward
Dear all, I just got a brand new machine with a pentium d 915 processor and an intel D946GZ IS BOARD. I had requested a motherboard with integrated Intel graphics, to get an easier install for os x, but I didn't realize it would come with the next generation of onboard Intel graphics, GMA 3000, instead of GMA 950. Has anyone tried this_ I searched and coundlt find info on a successful (CI, QE) install. Thanks! Aluminum Sponge
I'm also very interested in this as well.... Looks to buy that same Mobo. Have you tried doing a standard OSX86 10.4.8 install and including the GMA900/950 drivers?? guiyoforward
haven't tried it yet but from what I've read it does NOT work out of the box. some ppl say it's just an overclocked 950 so changing some device ids should do, but I can't figure out where to change them... any ideas? skyfox
changing some device ids should do, but I can't figure out where to change them... any ideas? Add your device id in this file: /system/library/extensions/AppleIntel915.kext/contents/info.plist You will probably have to edit it in terminal to preserve proper permissions.
