newelement
I have followed about every tutorial on changing icons. I have two folder alias on the desktop. I've tried the "Get info" - copy/paste method with no luck. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Also, is there a way to remove the alias arrows? newelement
Yes I have it. It changed all my system icons, but I don't see where it can help change alias' I've created on the desktop. They are just plain folder icons. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47079-changing-icons-n00b/#findComment-337266 Share on other sites
Vipersfate
It should've worked, or the icons that you recieved didn't have an icon assigned for alias'. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47079-changing-icons-n00b/#findComment-337395 Share on other sites
Sabr
It should've worked, or the icons that you recieved didn't have an icon assigned for alias'. The Alias icon is just a little arrow, it doesn't have it's own folder icon. newelement
I dont care about the little arrows. Actually I figured out how to remove the little arrows. I still have just a plain folder for my alias desktop icons. If someone can find a tutorial that they know works I will try it. I've tried others with no luck. Thanks guys. I tried this and it does not work for me.. http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_chan...drive_icon.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47079-changing-icons-n00b/#findComment-337446 Share on other sites

newelement
I added the "my name" folder and the applications folder to the desktop. They are not plain folders by default. Do I still need to change them? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/47079-changing-icons-n00b/#findComment-337762 Share on other sites
