DK-RendeR
My setup: Intel D975XBX (Badaxe) and Core2 Duo E6600. I'm not entirely sure if there is a version of OS X we're all supposed to be using. The one I downloaded was called "Mac OS X 10.4.8 - JaS AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 incl. PPF1" from TPB. I've tried using AppleHDA and running outright crashes my system. There was also a post saying that I needed to update my kernel. The script crashed my system as well. From what I gather, the Sigmatel stuff is a pain to get working, but it's the only option I have right now seeing as my regular sound card is an Audigy4. :/ Thanks for any and all help! DK-RendeR
Hallelujah! I have sound! However, I don't have microphone input. I've searched around the forum, but I can't find anything on whether or not if this is widespread. Any help? DK-RendeR
What exactly is your problem? My problem was that AppleHDA would crash OSX everytime I ran it. I found out that I needed to boot OSX with the option "-legacy". Kiko: Are you using a codec dump that you created? I've been using the one from http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/ (STAC9221D in particular). I'm not entirely sure how to use/upgrade to another kernel. Is it necessary?
