IlLoRcA
Hi, I tried to install JAS 10.4.8 (with cpus=1 flag) on th 3rd partition of my disk. OS boot up (and it seems to give no errors with -v option) but when it change resolution (maybe when OS start?) I can't see anything (black screen) on the laptop (a blue screen on external monitor). None in this forum seems to have the same bug. I tried cpus, platform, acpi, fv, fb and all other flags I found in opther posts. Could someone help me please? success2be
have you tried booting up with "-v -x" boot option? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46868-jas-1048-on-acer-aspire-5672wlmi/#findComment-335684 Share on other sites
IlLoRcA
I tried now with no success. I think is a graphic card issue becouse someone has published a google video that shows jas running into a notebook that is the same model except for the video adapter (intel vs ati). success2be
You appear to have duo core. I read somewhere on the forum that people were successful at bootup if they disabled one of the cores in bios. IlLoRcA
I know, but I haven't this BIOS option. Without boot flag "cpus=1" computer hangs immediately. With boot flag "cpus=1" I can finish all the kernel bootstrap and computer hangs switching into graphic mode. (Maybe computer doesn't hang but I can't see anything) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46868-jas-1048-on-acer-aspire-5672wlmi/#findComment-338251 Share on other sites

WaldMeister
Could it be that you did not install any graphic drivers? Ow, and for both cores to work, delete the: /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCCardFamily.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46868-jas-1048-on-acer-aspire-5672wlmi/#findComment-338269 Share on other sites
