Dipsi D
I forgot to mention why I think Apple won?!- With all the respect to all does who works day and night to make Mac OS possible also for those who don't have Apple computer- it's too Incompatible. My example- Mac runnig but stucks randomally becuase mysteries reason which i can't figure out nor solve!!! Thats why i think apple gets their goal: Mac OS for Mac computers and not more than that! fendertwin
I've been running OSX 10.4.8 on my p4/geforce 7600gt system for about a week now doing hardcore work and without a hiccup. Vista and my pc apps were not as stable as my hackintosh. Your problem is your hardware, not OSX86. Lactobacillus P
I also have random hickups on my otherwise 100% compatible system (Asus P4 SSE3 based system in my sig). They happen during the most basic tasks, not reproducable by the way. Running Prey or Doom3 on my Nvidia 6600GT works like magic, I can play those games without a problem, but sometimes during dragging a window across the screen or whilst surfing the web such a random hang does appear. So it does occur when 2d graphics are moved across the screen: scrolling in a text browser, playing a movie in Quicktime, dragging a window across the screen. On BeOS, Linux, WindowsXP and Vista no problems like that. I do wonder what it is. Perhaps the fact that I am running an AGP card? Natit? Je ne sais pas..... Add: Those random hangs do not occur with my Acer Travelmate (Pentium M SSE2) which is actually running of the same install as my Asus using an Ati 9600 Mobility AGP. They do not occur when I use my AGP Ati 9600 256Mb AGP, on my Asus P4 SSE3 system but this is not 100% supported and slower than the Nvidia card., QE/CI work in PCI mode, fixed resolution and mouse artifacts partially medicated with MouseLocator and an empty png graphic....but the Natit supported Nvidia makes the experience true maclike. Could it be a CI bug? Could it be a SSE3 bug?
