Paranoid Marvin
I have just installed my first Hackintosh, and things were going well. On the first boot, I saw the grey apple and cog - but just when I expected it to show the login window it showed --- nothing! Just a blank screen. I checked the imput, and it is still coming in at 800x600. The mobo is a FIC VG31, the CPU a 2.53ghx Northwood and the graphics card is a FX5700 (256mb). As I said, the installation went fine, but now - nothing! Any ideas guys? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46752-ok-its-installed/ Share on other sites
Korrupted
Press F8 repeatedly while booting to bring up the Darwin bootloader. Once you see the "boot:" line, type -v and check for any weird messages. Report back. success2be
Reboot, press F8 at the spinning "/" to get into boot options. Type "-v -x" to boot in verbose safe mode. Try using Natit Universal graphics driver. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46752-ok-its-installed/#findComment-334654 Share on other sites
Paranoid Marvin
Verbose mode tells me nothing, no errors or anything. Safe mode makes no difference either. One change though - at boot, I have a black screen now at 1280x1024 with an upside down cursor. What are these Natit drivers you speak of? success2be
I guess if you can't even boot to desktop in safe mode, then there maybe serious problem with video card. Maybe another expert here can show you how to boot to a command prompt and install the Natit universal drivers from the command prompt. Google "Natit universal" You can get more info at http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Natit Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46752-ok-its-installed/#findComment-334709 Share on other sites
