Jedisinclair
If this is a stupid question, let me apologize in advance. How do you know which kernel version you have? I just bought an X1600 vid card and I've read that I need borisbadenov patch to get it to work... I tried to d/l this patch installer but it has two different ones for kernels 8.4.1 and 8.8.1 I think it was... another question ... I just looked at 10.4.7 hcl and it says something about enabling borisbadenov patch in installer... I don't believe my jas disc has the boris patch in the installer... could someone point me to the torrent of the version that includes this patch in the installer? I'd really appreciate it. erbic
To find your kernel version, open Terminal and type uname -a I'm not sure about the borisbadenov patch. Maybe someone can clarify. The Baron
Yep, JaS 10.4.7 has a radeon patch in there, it's under ATI X1000 series I think. Worked great with my X1800. Alternatively, try ~Neo's patch at installers.dl.am or upgrade to 10.4.9 and use DiaboliK's excellent installers. hth, The Baron Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46527-kernel-version-stupid-question-maybe/#findComment-333173 Share on other sites
