badlydrawn
Hey guys, I just recently installed Osx 10.4.8, and I'm having a small problem reguarding flash videos like youtube or filecabi.net. Whenever I watch a streaming flash video, it only plays the first 5 seconds and then stops. As the movie loads, I click on other places of the video timeline and it continues to play again for only 5 seconds and then stops, even if the video is fully loaded. I'm guessing this is an osx problem because this never happend with windows. Does anyone have a solution for me? P.S. Also, if anyone knows...what program do I need to get if I want to watch streaming video from websites that use windows streaming videos, because I know quicktime wont do it. Anyways, get back to me, thank you! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46254-stupid-flash-player-video-problems/ Share on other sites

sheeplover
For everybody having the same trouble with flash-video: It seems that the phenomenom is produced by the unavailability of sound. Install a driver that works with your onboard sound if available or use an external usb or firewire-soundcard. I remembered my guitar fx-board (Line6 PODxt-Live) can be used as ASIO 2.0 sound device. Pluged-in ... works great! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46254-stupid-flash-player-video-problems/#findComment-409077 Share on other sites
