epicor
So i got my hackintosh all working clean and pretty. this thing is faster w/ 1 core than xp is with both running. too bad internet and sound dont work... anyway, my real question was about su. for some reasoni dont seem to have a superuser acct. my regular login is an admin acct but with some things it still tells me i dont have permission to do. the main example is PowerManagement.package it wont let me replace it for some reason. even with the password(actually i dont have a pw i just left it blank) verification on my acct it still wont let me. also, when i do a su su in the terminal it asks me for my password... there isnt one so i leave it blank and it replies Sorry! then gives me a new promt. any ideas on what im doing wrong? also, as a side note. how do i change the name of my computer? cant do it in the system profiler. erbic
actually, that'd be sudo passwd root. You can change the name of your computer in the Sharing prefpane in System Preferences.
