erbic
Install 10.4.8. It may solve this problem, and in general is much better than 10.4.6. Make sure you get the Defiant Diskutil patch for your 10.4.8 image; it may already be in the image or you might have to apply it as a PPF file. The Disk Utility on the 10.4.8 install disk doesn't do the partitions right, and the Defiant patch fixes it. haldunuraz
So there is no way to fix that without installing newer version? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46033-1046-kernel-panic/#findComment-329712 Share on other sites

Callysto
Try disabling the XD feature in your BIOS. It looks like the problem arises from the AppleACPIPlatform.kext so is related to ACPI functions enabled or disabled in BIOS. You may need to fiddle or do as ErBiC suggests and get a 10.4.8 install DVD Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46033-1046-kernel-panic/#findComment-329864 Share on other sites
