Soündless
hmm, you could partition your drive, and restore the image to the second partition and boot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45669-install-no-dvd-burner/#findComment-326811 Share on other sites
Colonel
You could partition your disk, and install OS X using vmware and the Mac iso. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45669-install-no-dvd-burner/#findComment-326816 Share on other sites
static
ive tried both with no luck. VMWARE Results : (Error MSG) The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point. Tried extracing the ISO to a partition and installing to a seperate partition from the but i cant extact all contents of the iso. For some reson when i extract it only extracts part of it ? sidding
yes, you can because that's what i did. i was too cheap to burn the image to dvd so i dd'ed it to a partition. my image is the jas 4.7. it has 2 part, the normal iso9660 and hfs+. the iso part is to kickstart the hfs+ partition. can you use vmware to boot the image and install? plain dd'ing the image with or without the iso part doesn't work as far as i can recall. you have to do quite some {censored} to make chain0 recognize the partition. take my advice, try the vmware extensively till you can't really do anything else anymore as it tooks me one whole day to set up the disc image to boot properly. xevean
if you have a extra hard drive an acess to a mac or hackintsoh you can you netrestore helper http://www.bombich.com/software/netrestore.html to transfer an installation dvd into a self booting hard drive partition. so basicly you select an iso file and a hard drive partition and you get a hard drive that can install osx however you need admin access to a machine with os x 10.4.x for more details http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...2&lsrc=osxh Edited March 19, 2007 by xevean Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45669-install-no-dvd-burner/#findComment-327063 Share on other sites
