"nForce 590 Gigabit LAN controller doesn't work; Video works with Titan on NV7600GS 256MB (SLI untested); On-Board sound (SoundMAX ADI AD 1988B 8-channel) works. USB works. Integrated WiFi LAN isn't recognized. SATA untested. Used the Primary IDE with HDD on master and DVD/CD-Rom as slave on same channel."

Not the best board in the world especially for the price, look around there are a lot of bigger and better things out there.

You might want to go Intel if you want a hackintosh mac. Second they are raping you on the price, Newegg has that board for 188plus ship and the processor for $129.

PS if your going for a computer, especially in that price range I'd go for an intel E6600, look around for a compatible board, and for a video card I think the highest you can buy that works 100% with mac is, correct me if I'm wrong is the 7800GT/7900GS. Also buy at least 2gigs of ram.

I'd stay away from SLI; It works ONLY if you don't want Quartz Extreme/Core Image enabled. I found that out the hard way...Once I installed Titan/nVidia accelerated Kexts, I'd try to boot and get a black screen. My 2nd video card is now sitting in its box, waiting for a really hard-core gaming day. I had talked to someone one the forums who said that right now there's no support for SLI whatsoever....

Also, if you get the JaS 10.4.8 disc, the AMD should work fine if you make sure you check the AMD box during install; I've got an AMD64 single-core and I've had no trouble with my installation at all.

K, I've decided upon the following processor:

But, I'm not sure what to look for in a motherboard. This will have been my first computer to build, so I'm not sure what a good motherboard is. You guys' help would be a great influence.

Following the advices of the boys from here, i not go build a new box more, i go save money and buy a new mac, same than in my country be a sneak the prices for macs, i go try, maybe from here two years i can finally buy it. But how you no live in Brazil maybe would be more ease you buy too a genuine mac, no?

I am planning on buying a macbook before I begin this next project. The point of my project is to build a Hackintosh, and I'm putting it inside a G4 Quicksilver case. Therefore, I probably won't get a Dell, unless I can take it apart and move the components into the QS Case.

I went to the dell website and built what should be a Hackintosh ready dell. When I get it, I'll probably crack it open and move the components (I know this voids my warranty, but I don't care) into the G4 Case. If this computer would work, I'd be getting a better deal, including a new 3in1 printer  Do you guys think that this computer can run OSx86?
