hi @ all ...

first sorry for my bad english ...

my specs:

ASUS P5LD2 + newest bios update

Intel Core2Duo E6400

2GB DDR 667

Installing Mac OS X on an IDE-HDD

i have a problem after the installation of jas 10.4.8 DVD . after rebooting i get a kernel panic.

i find nothing for this board. i think it works for other people. but not for me.

I have to install Mac OS X one more time because i tried to change a few things an now nothing works. so i will post the error-message later.

Mac OSX only boots in safemode ( -x ).

Have i to disable some cpu features in the bios ?

If someone know something about this Mobo please post it.

so ...on my way to install one more time ... will post the panic soon.

bye

im confused ....

i installed it now one more time and now it works ... what i have done ist to install only the intel sse2 sse3 drivers and nothing else ... no other additional drivers ...maybe one of this drivers has produced the kernel panic ...

ok... now i will try to install ati drivers and get sound working

Hi, try the v2 install DVD 10.4.8 from January (for AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3). For me, works perfectly, and with the 10.4.9 update (see demonoid) is stable and smooth. My system has the following parts: Asus P5LD2/C Green, Intel Pentium D920, 2 Gb RAM 667 DDR2, HDD 160 Gb SATA2, ASUS DVD-RW, Sapphire X1300Pro graphics PCIe.

Good luck

  • 2 months later...

I'am also bought a P5LD2-VM DH because the most people got this board working right out of the box

After 5 times installing and getting Panic errors i found what was causing this.

I disabled the onboard Sound card in the bios, after this the macosx 10.4.8 intel/amd did work!

After this i upgrade to 10.4.9 and i got stock again, OS boots and reboots, going in a loop

Maybe this will work for the upgrade: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...2+network+fixed

And also the sound maybe will work with this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...2+network+fixed

Second i want to get my wireless Sweex LW053 working at a reboot, now i have to unplug/plug the USB device after a reboot, i think this is the same problem with the network card getting no ip adres at a reboot, for this issue i thought i saw a fix but i cant find it anymore on this forum

Does anyone can help me with the Sound and Network issue?

thanks in advance,
