Whenever I try to apply it I keep getting this message:

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System

Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.

#2) Think before you type.

#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

Password:

I have no idea what password it is on about and do not know how to get past this - any ideas?

That's the message Sudo gives out when its first use. What this means is that the script you are using needs administrative privileges. The password will be the one you specified for your account when you first booted up OS X, or bovinity if you're using the Deadmoo images (and I know some people are still running <10.4.8!)

Once you've successfully used a sudo command once, then you'll never see that message again. It's sort of an old UNIX relic, since OSX is built on UNIX.

There's about a 95% chance that it's your login password; otherwise it might be "bovinity" (no quotes) as the above poster suggested.
