linuxbox
Install the JAS 10.4.8 on a 945mobo - I've built 4 different systems and put OS X on each one with similar specs, and on a recent one I built I'm encountering this problem. As soon as a browser is opened, it gives a "Sorry - had to close" reopen? style boxes. Tried with safari firefox and opera. It might be a coincidence but with IE when they had a windows box on this connection it was doing the same though not as frequent. as a note, during install the cable modem wasn't sending a siganl to the nic, had to put a router in between for it to work. (comcast couldn't understand this either) If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate this! I'm puzzled. hecker
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Specially if the problem happened under windows as well as under OSX. Check to see if there are firmware updates for your hardware. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45313-browsers-all-crash/#findComment-323971 Share on other sites
linuxbox
hecker, thanks for the response - the windows box was a completely different machine so do you mean a firmware update for the modem? because everything else works fine, except browsers. Thats why this problem is so strange! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45313-browsers-all-crash/#findComment-324018 Share on other sites

Have you tried another modem to see if the problem persists? hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45313-browsers-all-crash/#findComment-324189 Share on other sites
