MrJeep
Hi, I just want to say that, finally, my OsX is running almost perfectly. I thought the chances of making it work would be 50-50 (actually I thought the odds of making it work would be 3:2 against) and I was pretty close! My first install with 10.4.6 did not work. I just forgot to install the Intel SSE3 drivers. Woops! The second install worked almost perfectly, until I installed the updates from apple which completely screwed up my system. Well, after seeing "Loading Dawrin OSx86" in a dos window, the computer mysteriously rebooted (each time). The third install went good too. I was able to install the ATI driver. I think a good driver system out of the forum could be a great idea since I downloaded a pretty old driver and my graphics were actually slower than the "kind-of-bundled-in" OSX graphics driver. Then the 10.4.8 DVD download finished over the night so I re-installed it, this time without any troubles. I even figured out my motherboard came with an onboard sound card which is compatible with osx. A simple driver install and I had sounds. Sweet. The ATI drivers are great too, they worked perfectly. I'm still amazed by how fast OSX boots. I'm pretty close now to switch 90% to Mac OSX. 10% is for gaming. For a long time I was looking to move to Linux (Ubuntu mostly) but the fact that Linux can't run properly Photoshop or illustrator kept me back. (By the way, I tried PS with wine before and I didn't quite like it.) OSX seems to be a natural solution. The last thing I must get working with OSX is get my Dual Screen. I don't know how hard is it but I'm wishing so much the next ATI drivers make it easier to fix this. At this point I see the same image in both screens. Anyone can help with this ? The second thing I'd really like to fix is the mouse acceleration curve. I'm sure this is really annoying to a lot of Windows To Mac "switchers". Anyone who likes an absolutely non-accelerated mouse might get a little frustrated with the OSX mouse acceleration curve. At this point, I've tried the mouse accessibility settings, the Microsoft drivers and SteerMouse. None were really able to remove the mouse acceleration. I'm wondering if someone knows a miracle solution. Well, if anyone knows how to make my dual monitor work and fix the mouse acceleration, I'd be pretty happy. I'd like to thank each and everyone who made OSX usable on most of our PCs. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/45223-its-alive/ Share on other sites

Vipersfate
Glad to hear you got it working. I'm assuming that it's the Asus P4S800 board. I had the same one! Welcome to the hackintosh world!
