Hi everbody,

Before I start the installation I installed the Acronis Disk Director and Acronis OS Selector.

Me previous HD configuration were (size aprox.):

- 35 Gb NTFS primary partition (Windows XP).

- 80 Gb NTFS secondary partition.

I repartitioned with Acronis Disk Director, and the new partitions were (size aprox.):

- 35 Gb NTFS primary partition (Windows XP).

- 20 Gb Fat32 primary partition (For install Mac OS X).

- 51 Gb NTFS secondary partition.

- 5 Gb Fat32 secondary partition (For shared between Windows XP and Mac OS X).

I try to install with the "Jas 10.4.8 AMD INTEL SSE3 SSE2 with v1p and Defiant Disk Utility Patches Applied" by thegrio:

"Exactly what it says: All the patches applied already and downloadable in one place. This is my first torrent ever, so go easy. =)

MD5 = 073eb015d77bbf5e4a97d0d37ceb3855"

And I had to boot 3 times, until the installation GUI appears, because it freezed in the console before the GUI appears. But at the thirth time it works (FIRST QUESTION THAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND).

Then, when the GUI loads, I went to the disk utility and I erased the partition, formating with the "Mac OS Extended (Journalised)" format or something like that.

After formating the partition, when I went to the installation dialog again, the installator don't found any drive to install the Mac OS X (SECOND QUESTION).

I don't understand.

Every1 could help me.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings.

Well, you need to format the partition into: "Mac OS (HFS+)".

The options were:

- Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

- Mac OS Extended

- Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)

- Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive)

- MS-DOS File System

- UNIX File System

All the guides that I saw, said that I must to choose the Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

Deamobile, what do you refer?

Thank you for your reply.

When the format is finish, the name of the partition (that were Mac OS X) change to disk03 (or something like that) and then I couldn't select any partition (Now the partition should not be grey, it should be black to indicate that it is active, but no, the partition is grey).

Could be the SATA controller? the HD?

I could install, making the partition extended, but then I run it, because it freezed in grey screen, (I changed it to active previously with the acronis disk director).

What is the best DVD version for my hardware?

Thank you.
