Hello everyone,

I have been a long time ATI fan but I am willing to give Nvidia a try since my old 128MB ATI 9800 Pro creates these annoying little mouse artefacts that I desperatly want to get rid of.

I found this XFX 128MB NVIDIA FX6200 card at my local PC dealer for only 39,00 Euros. That is not a lot of money for a graphic card and there are no reported compatibility issues with it. I would, however, like to read some comments from the people that have information/experience with this card.

I am not looking for extreme gaming quality here. Just something at a level with the ATI 9800 Pro but without the mouse artifacts or other OSX86 related annoyances.

To keep it simple, I will ask you the simple question of "Suck or not Suck?". You are welcome to add extended comments of course.

So, does the XFX 128MB NVidia FX6200, suck?

Thanks guys,

Thanks for replying guys!

@KasperNL:

I just bought a XFX GeForce 6200 AGP 256MB for my P5PE-VM based Hackintosh..

Will post my experience with this card as soon as I tested it (probably monday)...

That would be awesome, thanks!

Yes. I would be really happy if NFS carbon runs at anything better than minimum settings. Buy a simple 6600, if you need a cheap but okay card.

Hmm, unfortunately it's quite hard to find AGP cards in my city.

I found the following cards:

- NVidia FX6200 for 39,-

- 256MB NVidia FX7600GS for 108.- Euros

- 128MB ATI 9250SE DVI for 35,- Euros, which is probably worse than what I have now.

- AGP 256MB ATI X1650PRO for 110.- Euros.

The only really cheap alternative is the FX6200, so I guess I'm stuck with that for now. Or buying a new mobo with PCIe.
