Window-key?

I wonder if it's possible to use the window-key as Option key in Mac OS.

Beacuse as it is at the moment, I don't have a key assigned to the Option key beacuse I need the caps-lock, control and command keys.

not sure if this program will help you or not but it has many options for windows keyboard layouts that mac doesn't support

But how do you do? You don't use the Option-key?

By default on PS2 KB Windows key is Option, unless you chage it on the Keyboard/mouse Preferece Pane.

My keyboard's Window Key is Command Key by default.

When I connect my kB with the SUB adapter the first thing Mac OS asking is how the keys are mapped, but in PS2 mode it never asks.

 

So now I don't know how Mac OS determines how the keys are mapped.

in my keyboard I mapped the command key to windows key..

 

Originally, the command function was mapped to ALT which is the option functions.

 

I switched them around , so:

 

Option Key --> Command

Command Key -> Option

 

now I get windows key functionnin as the command key and ALT as the Function key

could someone sticky this? this is really useful info, especially for newbs like me...today is my second-day experience a Mac OS X first hand...it's like i'm re-learning everything...having said that...a post like this really helped me get my footing.
