  1. I wonder if I can use Apples software update to update from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10? And if not, is there an upgrade available on this site so I don't have to install 10.4.10 from the start?
  2. ALC880 doesn't work

Thanks Diabolik! I got sound from my speakers now with the help of the file from your website. Thanks a lot!
  3. ALC880 doesn't work

No sound. I also got a ALC880 audio chip but I can't get any sound. I downloaded a file "ALC880:Azilla.Fix.v2.pkg" from Diaboliks website and installed the file but still no sound. What should I Do?
  4. Thanks for the answear. I've already tried that one but it doesn't work, but I got the ethernet working now thanks to you so it's not such a big deal.
  5. Window-key?

Thanks, I will check it out. But how do you do? You don't use the Option-key?
  6. Window-key?

I wonder if it's possible to use the window-key as Option key in Mac OS. Beacuse as it is at the moment, I don't have a key assigned to the Option key beacuse I need the caps-lock, control and command keys.
  7. I did what you said and now the ethernet is working!! Thank you very very very much!!!!!! Do you know how to make wireless work too?
  8. [How To] ALC882 Sound

Hi! I have installed Mac OS X 10.4.8 but I have no sound. My computer is an Acer laptop with Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC880) so I thaught I would try Ramijs guide. But I don't have to change any numbers in the files...they are already correct for me So, what is the problem?
  9. Thanks for the reply but I can't get it to work! In the last step of the guide: "ifconfig en0 ether <your mac address here> " I get an error: "ifconfig: interface en0 does not exist" Does you Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet work with mac os x 10.4.8 or should I maybe install an earlier veresion of the OS? All ideas are welcome!
  10. Broadcom 570x and 575x

Hi, help needed! I have installed Mac OS X 10.4.8 on my laptop but I can't get my ethernet to work. I've got a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet (PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_169C). Has anyone got this to work? Please help me! EDIT: It now works thanks to decaturguy (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry316300)
  11. How do I get Intel Pro Wireless 2915abg or Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet to work with Mac OS X 10.4.8. I have tried several guides for both of them but I can't get it to work. I would really like to get an internet connection, feels a bit useless without it. If you can help me with this you will be my new hero!
  12. SSE2 or SSE3?

How do I find out if my processor supports SSE2 or SSE3? It's a laptop, Acer Travelmate 8100. Found a program to check this and my processor supported sse2.
  13. Hey! I want to create a partition of my Win XP disk where I can install Mac OS X but I have a problem. In the installation guide (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Simple_Dual_Boot) it says: "Important: A partition must start below the 1024 cylinder on the disk to be bootable. Make sure the partition designated for OS X starts below the 1024 boundary." How can I create such a partition with PartitionMagic. If I make my Win XP partition 10gb smaller then I can create a new partition for Mac OS X but it won't start below the 1024 cylinder. Another question: Should the Mac OS X partition be a primary or logical? All help is appreciated!
