Fizzeh
Ok, so for many reasons my main HDD basically got wiped. So I loaded up th installer for the new beta, and hit restore on the screen. After following the instructions, an error message came up and told me to reboot. After that, I installed the 9a777a. Then from there, I tried dragging my old user from my Time Machine drive. I got a message that said "The operation cannot be completed because the selection contains both backup items and non-backup items" So I decided to try to restore the users folder from Time Machine (from the actual program). This also yielded the same message as dragging. Any ideas of how to save all my data? My goal would be to do a FULL restore, and after that do an archive and install. Although, archive and install seemed not to work before. Fizzeh
OK...update and hint to others: When restoring a full Time Machine backup, you should use the installer of the build that made the backup. (my backup seems to be working now, and should be done in about 10 mins :-D) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44201-time-machine-backs-upbut-does-not-restore/#findComment-316439 Share on other sites
