Buying a Mac. (Probably G4+)

I'm a student, and my laptop just died. I'm not putting any more money into the darn thing, so I might as well get myself my own mac. I currently have about $150. I was considering the powermac g4 cube. However, I was thinking more towards the powerbook. Or possibly a tower, I'm not sure.

cubes are good. for 150, you might be able to get a cube. the towers might also be cheap. both are good macs, and you can get the cheap on ebay, but a powerbook, that might be a lot more

maybe a powerbook 12" is in your area? it will give you the mobility the cube wont with almost the same power.

iBook G4 like mine, or close with a gig of ram, power and mobility. I would like to have an intel, but oh well I don't care.

ive seen a few cubes go on ebay for around 250 on ebay...but they dont pop up as often as most other things.

 

theres alot of g4 powerbooks/ibook on ebay but getting one for under 500$ can be a slight challenge..unless your looking at a 400/500mhz Titanium Powerbook or a G3 Ibook then you could probably sng it for 300-350$.

 

if your replacing a dead laptop, personally id go for getting another laptop, not a desktop, but thats just me.
