Dhoffryn
I got an nvidia 7950gx2 which is not supported by titan or mcvida as far as I could find out. But is there a way to get the vesa drivers to display thwe 1280x1024 resolution? as of now everything is working except that I dont like the resolution it is running. btw runnin 10.4.7 couldnt get the .8 version to work. [edit] I found out how to do a "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32@75" during boot. But now I have to type it mannually everytime I boot up. Is there like a boot.ini or something to make this automatically? Zizou
put it in the com.apple.boot.plist (something like that, spotlight it, first hit..) add the key graphics mode and the string 1280x1024x32@75 <key>graphics mode</key> <string>1280x1024x32@75</string> I THINK.. not entirely sure lol. sorry. Dhoffryn
Sorry I am a complete mac n00b, how would I change the permissions? It would make my life a tad easier if I wouldn't have to type in the commands at boot. The rest of the Mac works great I think as long as I can get final cut to work reasonably I am happy. Just want to learn the interface. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43834-how-to-set-higher-vesa-resolution/#findComment-313647 Share on other sites
hecker
No need to change any permissions. Just add the sudo command for editing. Like this: sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Check this site for further reference: http://neonkoala.co.uk/content/view/33/34/ hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43834-how-to-set-higher-vesa-resolution/#findComment-313655 Share on other sites
