SimonSheppard
Hi everyone I am new to apples this is my first apple computer a macbook pro... however my finger nail has scratched the small area below the Apple key. it scratched though like the covering to the metal below. And now looks nasty. Does anyone know if there is a way for repairing such scratches, i have looked into replacing the part but look very expensive. As i use the apple key a lot i am worried that i am only going to make it worse. I just paid like £1500 for the mac too. pic is a little grainy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43581-repairing-scratches-to-brand-new-macbook-pro/ Share on other sites
mifki
Why the hell would you want to replace the part lol, and how can ur finger nails be so strong. If i were u, get some very suuper fine grit sandpaper and work on that small patch, LOl or you could jsut ignore it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/43581-repairing-scratches-to-brand-new-macbook-pro/#findComment-311440 Share on other sites

Ferret-Simpson
Apart from to post this in the correct forum? No. Call Apple and ask the price of the part. The calls free. And maybe take this as a lesson to cut your damn nails and look after your $1500 computer.
