the kernel is 32 ad 64bit, but it might be a problem with some specific extensions patched for AMD...

actually, my AMD rig is not running in "legacy" mode, so 64bit is supposed to be enabled, but I don't really know if it really supports every OS X 64bit mode instructions...

Is SSE3-Emulation already at 100% in the recent SSE2-Kernel? I still got some issues running programs on my P4 Northwood, itunes is crashing sometimes, mostly when other sound sources are used at the same time. iDVD also crashes when burning a DVD to an image.....; So is the next release bringing emulation of ALL instructions?

Thx!

Me too have exactly the same problems.

Wil the sse2 kernal have other improvments or bugfixes or is it the same with only the speedstep added?

SSE2 more than likely won't be implemented into 10.5... it takes too much work and it would run extremely slow.

If people are serious about running OS X, they should consider either a hardware upgrade or even builduing a new computer, as many of us have done.

After all a fully compatible hackintosh can be built for around $600
