Hello,

Thanks everyone for a great forum!

I just got my LG LW20 Laptop to work with OSX 10.4.6 and was happy for about 5 minutes. I did the huge mistake of upgrading tp 10.4.8 via Software Update in System Preferenses.

After i did this my computer is stuck in an endless reboot. It boots up until you see the grey Apple screen and then reboots again.

Is there any way to fix this or do i have to reinstall everything?

Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately, you'll have to reinstall. The major point updates, as well as many other things from Software Update, have an alarming tendency to break Hackintoshes. Safe thing to do is this: When you see anything new in Software Update, check here and see what people have to say about it (i.e. if it's safe or w/e). Safest thing to do, since you don't risk breaking your system.

i have heard that we can do software update when it's not a security update or os update , but for itune , etc it can be done...

but don't dream , if you want perfect stability and enjoy software update safely : buy a mac like the most people here.

My hackintosh is just for the server side ..don't have money to buy a macpro or g5 .... so hackintosh
