  1. Not sure if this is a known issue or someone has a fix. Trust me I searched high and low for the answer because posting here always seems to result in the longest time before someone will help. It's a Dell Optiplex 960 with 10.5.8 and everything is great but when it goes to sleep you can't wake it up. The power button blinks but the rest of the system is off and the only way to get it to respond is to reboot it by holding down the power button. I have checked the BIOS Settings and see nothing there that would help change this. Thanks!
  2. Thinkpad T61 Leopard Installation Guide

Is OSX 10.5.7 a bit more stable? Everything seems to work fine and then I apply the System Updates which brings me up to 10.5.8 and suddenly the VoodDoo Battery meter is working backwards. When it's 90% charged I get the warning about my battery being on reserve Also the ethernet doesn't always seem to work after sleep but that may not be an exclusive 10.5.8 issue. B.
  3. ATi Mobility Radeon x1700

Floppah, What model T61 you have and also which video card is it? Device ID?
  4. ATi Mobility Radeon x1700

Okay I give up!. Page 1 of this thread is useless. I mean I appreciate the effort but it doesn't make a lot of sense. You got drivers on there for download but no explaination as to whether they are incremental, meaning you have to start at a certain version of the OSX and work your way up by only updating just certain files or do you just download the updated drivers and scrap the old ones? I am using OSX 10.5.8. The only reference you have is for 3 device that aren't even mine. 71D5, 71DE, etc. I have device ID: 71D4 and theres' nothing for that. Within the ZIP file for 71D5.zip is just the RadeonX1000.kext and nothing else. I've tried editing it with my device ID and it always results in a system panic. Anyhow, just very vague info here and I've had a lot of trouble trying to figure it out.. I just reinstalled OSX again for the millionth time and it's a different experience with these drivers everytime!. Not worth the aggrevation!. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for what info is here. I"m sure alot of people found what they need. I'm just frustrated with this and have gotten NO responses to my pleas for help so. Forgive my tantrum.
  5. ATi Mobility Radeon x1700

Guess I'm still on my own here.. I reinstalled and managed to get my resolution working however the QE*CI and missing.. What file or kext is responsible for QE*CI?
  6. ATi Mobility Radeon x1700

I could really really use some help!. I have a fresh install of iAtkos v7 which brings me successfully up to 10.5.7. I then plug in my Ethernet and apply all the software updates and then boot up successfully to 10.5.8 My Video is in VGA and I can get one of the two but not Both. 1. I can get the native resolution of 1680x1050 but No QE&CI. or 2. I can get QE&CI and 1024x768 only with mouse tearing. This is a Laptop display and a Lenovo T60p with the ATI V5250 card using device ID: 71d4 I have plist edited the ATIinject.kext and inlcluded my EDID info. I have also plist edit the ATIRadeonX1000.kext. Does anyone have any suggestion on what I can do to get my native resolution and QE&CI working? THanks!
  7. Thinkpad T61 Leopard Installation Guide

Just did and now the sound is working fine. The only issue I have and I assume you do as well is the Ethernet not working right after an attempt to sleep. I reset my bios settings to default but anytime it tries to sleep it wakes right back up. Weird!
  8. Thinkpad T61 Leopard Installation Guide

K, I forgot to mention I did a system update and an running 10.5.8. Just discovered another strange issue. My iATKOS allowed me to choice the VOODOO HDA driver for sound which works great.. but when the PC wakes from sleep any further sounds are garbled..
  9. Thinkpad T61 Leopard Installation Guide

Kanedo, Thank you VERY much for posting this info!. I had very good success using the iATKOS V7 Install and picked the same drivers you did. The only thing was my Sleep function was not working and the one you provided in your zip file got it working, however as soon as it goes to sleep. A few seconds and it wakes right back up. Can you tell me what you have in your Bios Settings? I know there are a number of triggers there that can be set on when to wake it from sleep. Thanks again!
  10. Never mind. I got 10.5.8 installed . Only issue is my wireless is not detected. I even added the 168c,1014 and it still doesnt' show up.
  11. DNYC, Can you help me with where I can find that same upgrade you D/L? I have the wackiest situation with my T61 (7661-A12). I can get the sound to work and then the next reboot it's gone. SO I kext install the Appleazaliaaudio.kext and AzaliaTurboTP1984.kext's. Reboot and I got the Speaker ICON but no sound. So I delete the Appleazaliaaudio.kext and reboot and I have sound!. WONDERFUL. Then reboot and the Sound and Icon are Gone again!. WTF! Maybe if I can just update to 10.5.8 I'll have better luck! THanks man! B.
  12. Whats the point of installing the Applezaliaaudio.kext if your only going to delete it? Anyhow, I had HD AUdio Out but no sound.. No I have NOTHING.. Not even an Audio Icon..
  13. I have a T60p with the X1700 video card installed. I have everything working except for a black file menu. My system profiler is reporting the wrong device ID as well and I have gone in and edited my correct video kext file however it still reports the wrong device ID. I am at a loss now as to what or where I should go to edit and get the correct device ID to show up as well as resolve the black menus. THanks!
  14. Thanks Guys!. Just the info I needed!.
  15. So I'm experimenting with trying to find the right drivers for my video. The latest I installed causes a Panic Kernel. Now I'm faced with having to Start ALLLLLLLLLLLLL OVER again with a re-install unless someone can tell me how to simply go into TERMINAL from the Install CD and delete the bad Kext file. I have searched extensively on how to do this and 99% of the time people say just type -s and do it from the command line.. or -x.. etc.. NONE of that Works because of the panic.. I have booted up the Install DVD and opened Terminal. I typed mount -uw/ then RM -F the offending kext and the file remains.. It doesn't say it's not able to delete or anything.. it' just acts like it deletes the file but it's still there.. Please HELP!. I really don't want to have to rebuild the system just because of one bad kext. Thanks!
