Hi!

I am having some troubles with the integrated sound card. I have seen that someone made it work, so hopefully one of you have an answer.

P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard,

ADI AD1985 6-channel CODEC (integrated)

P4 2.4 Ghz Nortwood HT.

The soundcard doesnt show in system profiler or in sys.pref/audio

Can some simple BIOS settings maybe fix this?

I am running the prosessor at 2.88Ghz (20% overclocked), and I´m using every speed thingy that is possible to have on.

If there might be any additional information I should have put in here, please tell me.

I appreciate your help!

You don't need to overclock, for one.

I have this same motherboard, and am using a P4 2.6 (Northwood-C), supporting HT and SSE2, so I needed both the SSE2 and OAH750 patches to use Rosetta; however, apps that require Rosetta (but not Altivec) work just fine (including iTunes). Configure as you would an Intel AC97 (which is exactly what it emulates) sound controller. Because this board uses both an Intel northbridge *and* southbridge (specifically, the ICH5SR southbridge, with both native SATA and native Matrix RAID support, in addition to the infamous CSA Gigabit Ethernet support) this combo requires little in the way of jiggery or pokery to use the onboard sound OR Ethernet.
