start X11, and in xterm type: ssh -X nix.box.hostname.or.ip

(options for ports & login/password as appropriate)

then once logged in, just launch whatever apps you want to use, adding an & to keep the terminal

so for instance:

firefox &

or

nautilus &

and they should just appear before your eyes.

well, if i get what you're trying to say about right is that one of your boxes runs

windows? if so, you could try and enable remotedesktop - that's a built in tool of

windows. and for macintosh there's a remote desktop tool from mircosoft. i've

been using it and it works. google will tell you how and where to get it.

Windows XP home cannot run remote desktop, it's deliberately disabled.

And M$ Remote Desktop sucks horribly on osx/intel, use tsclientx instead.

I just installed tsclientX (VNC / RDP ) gui

other than that I just ssh to my work(linux) box too and scp any file i need.

But I want to be able to log on from work to my osx via gui =)

And from osx to my linux at work gui too.
