Rez.
Have you tried looking at osx86project.org to see if your hardware is supported? If you haven't, Look in the Wiki section. al420
i assume the other dell laptops using the same network card as me, who have got it working. They explained using the old ionetworking.kext so i did that repaired permissions, and now i can detect that i have teh network card, but for some reason i cant use it, it shows up as built in ethernet but it doesnt let me check it or use ethernet to connect to network as an option, it will only let me choose dial-up connection forr some reason. Thanks for any replies its appreciated as i would like to try mac os x, and internet is the essential for anything to get anything working through information and files i dont wish to reboot every time i try something and it doesnt work, i just want to get my network up and i need the internet for a command line reference too. hecker
Are you using Tubgirl's or JaS's DVD? I also had a problem with my network card and JaS's DVD. I used the IONetworkFamily plugins from the tubgirl's DVD and it fixed the problem. I know it's a long shot but you could give it a try. What I did was replace the IONetworkFamily/Contents/Plugins folder with tubgirl's. You can get the files here: http://ftp.max-systeme.com Remember to make a backup of your originals first and to fix the permissions and ownership of the file. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42649-ethernet-and-sound/#findComment-307820 Share on other sites
mifki
For sound, list what codec you have, (most likely sigmatel 9200) if so, you can get it to work with Taruga's AppleHDA patcher Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42649-ethernet-and-sound/#findComment-307824 Share on other sites
