MenZa
I'm at the point where most of my stuff works when running in legacy mode (I'm told to reboot if I run it in normal mode or safemode--a tad annoying, but at least I can do legacy). Though I have an issue that's really being a pain in the arse: Whenever I drag a window (for instance Safari, Finder or iTunes), the content doesn't follow, and borders become unclear, etc. I'm assuming this calls for a different graphics driver, but I can't find any supported ones, as I've got 512mb on it. My specs are in my signature. Can anyone otherwise help? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42507-graphical-issues/ Share on other sites

pspftw
My problem's exactly the same, and I haven't found a solution yet. Only difference in my situation is the card's older (nvidia Vanta), and the problem also occurs when I'm scrolling up or down in web pages etc. Tried quite a few things, and it's really bugging me now. System's all up and running, but web browsing's almost impossible due to the graphic issues. yodacan16
I am having a similar problem with jas 10.4.5. I have a dell inspiron 8200 laptop. I have tried nativ, titan and a couple of other files, which I have found on these forums and others. But my nvidia 440 go is still not getting other options for screen size. With some tries it locks up goes blank altogether. I have every thing working including atheros dwl-g650 and touchpad. Just the graphics. The card works now but only in 1024 by 768. P.S. I would like to think every one who has posted on this forum. It has enabled a first time mac user like my self to get everything up and running with only a little knowlege and some research. If anyone has this same computer and needs help setting it up email me at yodacan16@yahoo.com. sigmaris
If you have an NVidia card, and are not using Natit/Titan but instead just using the non-accelerated gfx driver you might have the display issues described here. I solved them by removing all GeForce*/NV* kexts from the Extensions folder (back them up in case you want to use Natit/Titan later). Remember to remove the kextcache and Extensions.mkext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42507-graphical-issues/#findComment-309007 Share on other sites

striped_taco
I have a 7900GTO 512MB too and this describes my problem exactly! I am gonna test it out when I get home. Now of course I want the QE/CI too, but since that's going to have to wait, has anyone tried installing a normal PCI vid card and then going in the bios and setting the PCI card to initialize first? Would that work if I then plugged in a compatible card? I hope so. I'd drop $50 to do that. I can't give up my monster gaming card though! Use Jas Mac OS 10.4.7 with nvidia driver installer by ~Neo (check in forum) and everythings will works perfect on 7900GTO Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42507-graphical-issues/#findComment-309580 Share on other sites
