Fisheye
Hi I'm currently running MacOS 10.4.3, because I couldn't get a newer one to work... My Setup is a Dell Dimension 4600 that means a P4HT 3Ghz, 1GB RAM and a boring ass GeForce FX5200... So my Problem is I want to run iMovie etc. and it says that I need Quartz Extreme to work with it perfectly. Right now I'm using the latest Version of MacVidia but it didn't help. I'm pretty much a total Noob at this point so make as easy as possible... please... Or if you guys them which Hackintosh Version should work for me I would try it out Thank you Very much Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42380-need-quartz-extreme-on-geforce-fx-5200/ Share on other sites
tiqo
The FX5200 is not a 'boring ass' videocard. If i remember correctly...it runs with QE/CI enabled ONLY on 10.4.8 with the latest kernel (8.8.1). I have a FX5200 in my amd pc, and it runs full with agp support. Try to find out why the 10.4.8 release doens't install on your machine. If you can get it to run..you then can enable ci/qe for your vid. card. Good luck! (btw: i use natit as driver for the fx5200) Edited February 14, 2007 by tiqo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42380-need-quartz-extreme-on-geforce-fx-5200/#findComment-302845 Share on other sites

juunbug
Hey tiqo, I have geforce fx 5200, full qe/qe2 ci, but I was not able to get the agp support. I have tried many versions of agpgart to no avail. How did you get it to work? My specs are as follows: -JaS 10.4.8 sse3 amd intel (qe/ci working from install) no alterations except different versions attempted of agpgart, reverted back to install state -asus p5pe-vm intel 865 chipset -p4 3.06 GHz 64bit 533MHz bus, 1Mb L2 -msi starforce geforce fx5200 agp 128mb (agp arperture size set to 128Mb in bios) -1 GB ddr 400 (2x512) I've tried searching with no conclusive results as to what I have done wrong, maybe you can tell me what you did right Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42380-need-quartz-extreme-on-geforce-fx-5200/#findComment-304039 Share on other sites
Hiro_
juunbug i also cannot get AGPGart support, i also tried several versions from AGPGart, but i no had luck. Maybe by cause of SIS chipset controller at my motherboard.
