A Nonny Moose
OK, so I have Warcraft running on a user account (read not admin). This means every time a new patch comes out, I have to log into an admin account and apply the patch. Can I just change the permissions so I can write into Warcraft from any user or will that make it unplayable?
Alucard!
But I think you can. I don't know for sure I have not used this before, but I think I know how to do it. As I think of it you should try to make this folder, where the game stays in or the icon then you must go to folder options and make this folder accessible for everyone. This way you should be able to make it modifiable for everyone. You could try this at first. :-)
A Nonny Moose
That's exactly what I was asking. If the folder is made accessible to all users, would this totally screw up Warcraft?
sandmanfvrga
Still new to OS X but if it is anything like Winblows, no it should be fine. I would back up your saved games though, so IF this hoses it then you can reinstall and go from there. But to give Jane, Bob, Sue, etc write access as long as the admin account is unchanged, I see no issue.
