maddoxnero
I looked around for the same error but I don't know really what I'm looking for cause this was my first time. I installed JaS 10.4.7 and all went well. When I restarted the loader began gray apple little spinning thing everything. Then A cross thing (looks like a no-smoking sign minus the cig.) happens. Tried safe boot and nothing. I have a AMD 64 3700+ 2.4ghz CPU ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo nVidia Ge-Force 6200LE video card Hitachi HD (from an old apple computer). I have no idea what that cross means. Any help is greatly appreciated! This was my first time. I tried the deadmoos .img thing but I couldnt ever understand the tutorials. HELP! sadiekiller
during the darwin boot menu part, type in -v to see what exactly is the problem. if it doesn't automatically show up, press F8 a bunch before the greyness appears and it should show. then again, using the most recent build is best, so if you can download a 10.4.8 dvd. better drivers and more compatibility. I can't even get into darwin I don't know where to press F8 cause it goes to the apple emediately. I'll try to get 10.4.8 by _Tubgirl_ Is it good? Ok forget the first part i got it, but it the -v it said still waiting for root device. So that can't be good lol. But thank you for getting me this far! maddoxnero
ive googled around and there doesn't appear to be a fix to the waiting for root device error. Does anyone think that the _Tubgirl_ release would fix it? its 10.4.8 for amd. Or does anyone have any other ideas? Help.
