AcidRain9
i Got Osx 10.4.8 Installed nativly and dualbooting XP with my hardware working: MSI K9N SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon X2 4800 ATI Radeon X1600 SLI (worked with 10.4.8, even at 1600x1050 with natit) 4 Gb DDR2 800 nForce Ethernet (this one is tempermental, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) Linksys Wireless-G WUSB54GC (Working with drivers) Anyways... I noticed that the performace of some applications (i.e. Flash, Dreamweaver,...) is really poor. Has anyone else noticed this? and is there a way to increase the performance? Synthology
Greetings, Indeed all of us noticed that Macromedia and Adobe applications, along with many other PowerPC apps that suffer from performance issues. This is due to the fact that they are not universal binary applications. These were written specifically for PowerPC not Intel-AMD. They are running under Rosetta emulation, hence the lack of punch that other UB apps give you. Hope this helps the very few who have not yet experienced this issue. Cheers Synthology Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42267-performance/#findComment-302048 Share on other sites
The Baron
There was another recent thread about this - Photoshop & Fireworks CS3 betas both run great. Office is bearable. Flash & Dreamweaver CS3 can't come quick enough for me (usable but the very occasional crash on Dw and I use it most of the day) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/42267-performance/#findComment-302064 Share on other sites
