Hey,

I've installed JaS 10.4.8 with PPF patch 1. But, here comes the problem. Everything seems to be well-working, except my sound. When I play a podcast, or a MP3, it is going to fast, like 1,1 times the normal speed. Voices sound really high, especially Dragonforce (whom's singer's voice is already high). I have no clue what sound card I have (JaS is my onliest desktop and O/S), and System Profiler tells me that no sound card is found, however, it plays, but not normally.

Can anyone out there help me?

Greetz,

Joentje

This is most likely an incorrect FSB (front service bus) speed setting and is doing funny things with the system clock. You can try updating to a kernel from www.semthex.com or try one of the other kernels available to correct this. The FSB should be around 100 to 200mhz usually.

Already have the lastest kernel.

FSB = 100

@Neotux: Have the same audio, but wouldn't work...

EDIT: Lastest kernel is SSE3 only, my processor doesn't support SSE3, only SSE2.

Also tried fsb=100 at startuo, but doesn't make a difference...
